Easter Sunday

This is the most important day in Christendom, the consummation of all the prophetic teachings in the Old testament, and the consummation of what Christ Himself predicted after His sacrificial death, that on the third day He would rise again.

We have to consider this as the most important day in our own lives as well. It is this day, Easter Sunday, as we traditionally call it, that beckons us to answer the call by Christ to believe in Him - His teachings, His life, His sacrifice, His resurrection, His offer of salvation. How often we as mere mortals think that our life will continue on, business as usual, no worries, be happy.

But what has come to countless of souls before - shall also come upon us - be it an illness, a loss, a terrible accident, or even sudden death - we will all meet the edge of our own finite existence and peer over what is the end or the near-end of our earthly life. We should respond to this call from Christ - NOW, not tomorrow when we get ill, or loose a loved one, not in the future when we think we'll be better off financially (then after that we'll consider this seemingly trivial decision of responding to Christ's call). We need to respond now - this is the most important decision we need to face and execute. Let us not wait one more moment.
